Backache or back pain is one of the common ailment faced by many.   • For a chronic back problem, keep yourself warm and eat hot items..
  • Garlic should be included in diet.
  • Another home remedy is to boil 10-12 tulsi leaves in a cup of water. Let the quanitiy of water reduced to half. Add some salt when the mixture is cool. Now have this syrup once or twicw a day.
  • A self massage with eucalyptus oil or mustard oil is known to be helpfu. But do not massage too hard.
  • Garlic oil massaged on the back also give great relief. This garlic oil is prepared by frying ten cloves of garlic in little oil mustard oil. sesame oil, and coconut oil.
  • You can also eat half a teaspoon of Guggulu twice a day after meals with warm water.
  • Another remedy is to take a mixture of five black pepper corns, five cloves and one-gram dry ginger powder in your tea at least twice a day.
  • Half a gram of dalchini powder with one-teaspoon honey is also good. You can have this at least twice a day.
  • Ice can reduce the inflammation of back pain and after a few days switch to heat.
  • Include in diet carrot, cabbage, tomato, cucumber, lettuce, and at least two lightly cooked vegetables like cauliflower, cabbage, spinach, carrot, fruits.
  • Sleep on a firm mattress. Avoid sleeping face down.
  • In the morning drink glucose or honey in warm water.
  • Proper rest is very important. Rest flat on your back for at least 2-4 hours.
  • Do not bend your back while picking up something from the ground. Instead you bend your knee and then pick it up. This exercise is helpful in preventing backache.
  • Yogic asanas that are beneficial in the backpain treatment are bhujangasana, shalabhasana, halasana, uttarpadasana, and shavasana.
  • Mix the juice of one lemon with common salt two times as daily routine.
