Bad Breath: Is it Bothering You? Banish Bad Breadth

Bad breath stemming from low calorie diet is difficult to get rid of, unless you modify your diet. If you are a person who is into low-carb lifestyle, then it might be that you will end up with stinking bad breath.  It is widely believed that low carbohydrate diets can cause ketone breath.

Dr Karishma Jaradi, dentist, says, "When your low-carb diet burns the fat in the body it releases a chemical called ketone that are released through the breath and urine." "This kind of bad breath is not an oral hygiene problem," says dentist Dr Shantanu Jaradi, adding, "so all the brushing, flossing, and scraping of the tongue that you can do is not possibly enough to overcome this."

They suggest that it would be a good idea to reconsider your diet and then modify it if you want to avoid bad breath. Mouthwashes could mask the breath but introducing some carbohydrates in your diet will help.

Doctors say that bad breath is also caused due to gastric regurgitation, kidney problems, smoking, and bacteria. Dr Shantanu says, "If you have gum diseases, gum bleeding, infection, plaque, tartar you can have bad breath. And when these problems are sorted out you won't suffer from bad breath any more."

The conclusion is that you must reconsider the diet and modify it so this doesn't happen.

Banish Bad Breath the Natural Way

  • Increase your fluid intake: It helps dilute the concentration of ketones that cause bad breath. Drink several glasses of water a day to maintain proper hydration. A squeeze of raw lemon juice in water will help.
  • Maintain good oral hygiene: Brush and floss twice a day. Also, clean your tongue regularly.
  • Treat existing oral diseases: Bad breath may be caused by oral diseases such as gum disease and candida infection, so see your dentist as soon as possible.
  • Use natural antibiotics: Fresh parsley and aloe vera are helpful in preventing bad breath. Chew fresh parsley whenever you can; it detoxifies your mouth and also contains abundant chlorophyll which sweetens your breath.
  • Eat crisp fruits and vegetables: Eating apples, celery, cucumber and carrot, your mouth is naturally cleaned. Plaque and food particles between your teeth and gums are removed during this process.

Make your own mouthwash

Buy diluted aloe vera juice from your local pharmacy or herbal store. Add two teaspoons of it to a tumbler of water. Then gurgle your mouth with this solution.
